Burmese Python - The Hulk

HABITAT
Native to areas in Southern and Southeastern Asia, they can be found in grasslands, marshes, swamps, woodlands and jungles with open clearings.
LIFESPAN
Burmese Pythons usual lifespan is around 20 years. The oldest living python ever recorded was 28 years old!
SIZE
In the wild, Burmese Pythons typically grown to around 5 metres and can weigh up to 90 kg!
DIET
Pythons are carnivorous and mainly eat birds and mammals, but also eat reptiles and amphibians.
Pythons can have over 400 pairs of ribs and around 100 teeth!
Burmese Pythons are semi-aquatic and can swim very well. They can hold their breath for 30 minutes underwater!
When a female Burmese Python is incubating her eggs, she coils around them and contracts her muscles similar to how we shiver.
Burmese Pythons are not venomous, however they constrict their prey and squuze them until they suffocate.
